Kokedama (Japanese Moss Ball) for Kids School Holiday Workshops with Muriel Gerard from Kokedama Kreations
Kokedama is a Japanese technique that consists of placing a plant into a soil ball, covering it in moss and then securing with twine. Kokedama translates in Japanese to 'mossball'.
Kokedamas are long lasting and low maintenance. They make a great decorative piece for you home or office by either hanging or placed on a plant stand.
The workshop experience includes;
-A guided demonstration into crafting Kokedamas, with helpful tips along the way.
-Handling a variety of plants, soils and moss to create your own Kokedama.
-Learning how to care for and display your Kokedama.
-Creating two Kokedamas to take home.
The course price includes all materials you will need to create your own Kokedamas. All you need to bring is a willingness to get your hands dirty (gloves and apron will be available for use).
This workshop is suitable for children aged 10-16 years.
