Studio Faro is a fashion design and pattern making studio that offers basic training and professional development workshops for the fashion enthusiast, industry practitioners and textile teachers.

Basic Pattern Making - Skirts
This workshop will help students to develop their understanding of pattern making and the skirt block. You'll be using the same Studio Faro skirt block used by Anita to produce first sample patterns for her local fashion industry clients. This workshop is suitable for students of all skill levels. You will learn to adapt industry-specific blocks into skirt patterns with an emphasis on great styling and strong technical detail to achieve a professional edge.

The idea behind the Fashion Illustration incursion is to build the tools and skills required to produce industry quality fashion illustrations. Fashion templates are provided for students to practice sketching and rendering colour and texture in a supportive environment. It's a one-day workshop that's suitable for students of all skill levels. There are demonstrations and practice sessions in the use of different colour and media to create depth, movement and print effects in the illustration. And finally, demonstrations of simple presentation techniques to achieve a professional look in your fashion portfolio. Production sketching is also included in this training session to make real the ideas in your students fashion illustration presentation.
